The logistics network
Our most ambitious goal is to simplify customers’ lives by providing quality products at the right price and ensuring effective and organized service.
Therefore, all our products and orders are fully customized: each customer can choose the most suitable grain size of lime, dolomitic or magnesium lime, the percentage of magnesium, the composition of special mixtures, and package weights and sizes.
We like to establish a long-lasting and ongoing relationship with our customers, and we are constantly improving our logistics system to make it more and more functional and faster, mutually beneficial. How do we do it? Through a structured transportation network, the production capacity of our plant, cooperation with related plants of the Unicalce Group, and the dense network of warehouses located throughout Europe.

Intermodal transportation
The transportation of our products is largely done in an intermodal manner, merging stretches by road and large stretches by rail, thanks to the use of special containers. We are strategically located to reach all intermodal terminals in northern Italy in a short time: PORDENONE, PADOVA, BOLOGNA, VERONA, BRESCIA, PIACENZA, MELZO (MI), CHIASSO, BUSTO ARSIZIO (VA) and NOVARA connect us to the European rail network exploiting all the potentialities of intermodal transport, allowing us to be more flexible and green.
Maritime service
The Motorways of the Sea represent an important strategic opportunity to bring the peripheral regions of the European continent closer together, fostering more efficient connections between northern and southern Italy, the islands and European countries facing the Mediterranean Sea. This maritime transport system allows us not only to significantly relieve traffic on roads and highways, but also contributes to the reduction of atmospheric emissions, promoting more sustainable and environmentally friendly logistics. The Motorways of the Sea also offer a tangible economic benefit, providing significant savings in freight transportation costs. At the heart of this model is the concept of multimodality, an integrated approach that enables the rapid transfer of goods between different means of transport, efficiently combining maritime service with the intermodal transport system for a smooth and optimized logistics chain.

Our branched transportation network is also an advantage from a logistical point of view. By taking advantage of European rail routes and forging partnerships with international transportation companies, we can secure storage points in many European countries.
This allows us to optimize investments in goods handling, lowering costs for our customers.
It also allows us to work on “off-the-shelf” by minimizing the time between order and delivery, especially in the case of frequent supplies.
